La Tercera Dimension

Nintendo 3DS promete ser un bombazo, su principal atractivo es su pantalla superior, que permite visionar imágenes en tres dimensiones sin necesidad de utilizar gafas especiales, toso esto suena de fábula pero, ¿cómo funciona esta pantalla?, hoy intentamos acercar la tecnología 3D a todo el mundo, de una manera breve y muy visual.
Brevísima historia del 3D en la gran pantalla
Aunque te parezca increíble, el 3D en el cine no es un invento del siglo XXI, en 1894 nacía el cine de la mano de los hermanos Lumière, con el invento del cinematógrafo, y ya se conocía que sumando imágenes para presentarlas individualmente a cada ojo se conseguía el efecto 3D.

A finales del siglo XIX, y principio del XX, hubo varios intentos de diversos pioneros en el mundo del cine en llevar el 3D a la gran pantalla, pero no fue hasta 1922, cuando llegó la primera película en 3D a las salas de cine, se llamaba “The power of Love”.
Para lograr el efecto tridimensional, el productor Harry K. Fairall y el cámara Robert F. Elder utilizaron la doble proyección a partir de 2 tiras de película y, de nuevo, separando la imagen mediante los colores rojo y verde, la película no tuvo ningún éxito pero fue el verdadero inicio del interés real por la cinematografía en 3D.
Desde entonces, a lo largo del siglo XX han surgido varias tecnologías para reproducir efectos 3D, éstos han sido los principales:
Tecnología Anáglifo (gafas rojo azul, muy populares en los años 80)
Gafas Polarizadas 3D (utilizadas actualmente en el cine)
Barras de paralaje (sin gafas) Tecnología utilizada por la Nintendo 3DS
Por eso no tenemos que utilizar gafas, digamos que las gafas ya van integradas en la pantalla, ese filtro llamado Paralax Barrier deja pasar la luz necesaria a cada ojo para crear el efecto, por ello, si nos movemos mucho perderemos la sensación 3D, y por ello también esta tecnología no es adecuada para televisores de sobremesa, ya que la posición varía demasiado y no se está lo suficientemente cerca.
Espero que esta pequeña aproximación al mundo de las pantallas 3D haya resultado de vuestro interés, después de seguir investigando no podemos más que desear que llegue cuando antes la nueva máquina de Nintendo.
